Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, announced that he “does not need a lot of money” and can donate 99% of his personal wealth.
The CEO of Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of spot and derivatives crypto volume, said in an interview with The Associated Press that he plans to donate most of his wealth.
“Personally, I am financially free. I don’t need a lot of money and I can continue my current lifestyle as it is. As many wealthy entrepreneurs or founders from Rockefeller to the present do, I intend to donate most of my wealth. I intend to donate 90%, 95% or 99% of my wealth.”
Zhao, who started investing in the crypto money market by buying bitcoin (BTC) in 2014, stated that he still keeps most of the bitcoins he bought, apart from that most of his wealth consists of Binance Coin (BNB).
According to Forbes’ list, Changpeng Zhao’s fortune is estimated at around $2 billion.
Zhao also has a “considerable” stake in Binance.
According to the news of the Wall Street Journal, Binance is thought to be able to achieve a valuation of $ 300 billion.
